ALKHOBAR, 11 November 2005 — The Ministry of Commerce has warned owners of hotels and furnished apartments against showing obscene films on satellite channels, according to Asharq Al-Awsat. The ministry has sent letters to all property owners asking them to abide by the laws of the land and to respect its religious and cultural norms. The paper said the ministry has begun field inspections in search of violations.
