JIZAN, 15 November 2005 — Police raids in Jizan in recent weeks resulted in the arrests of 3,471 overstayers, Al-Watan reported. Passport, police and traffic departments carried out coordinated operations in a number of neighborhoods largely populated by foreigners. Police also seized large quantities of stolen materials, weapons and drugs from those rounded up.
