JEDDAH, 15 November 2005 — A special committee assigned to evaluate conditions in hospital morgues and suggest improvements has completed its work and recommended new regulations. The recommendations have been sent to the Health Ministry for final approval. The new regulations suggest employing only Saudis in the morgues and to have security guards on duty for 24 hours every day. They also suggest writing the vital information pertaining to a dead body on a bracelet which is then attached to the body. If the information is written on a paper, it may be lost or mislaid.
