The Jeddah Chamber of Commerce & Industry (JCCI) has announced it reached an agreement with SNAS-DHL to establish an Express Center in its premises. The center is aimed at processing and finalizing passports as well as work permits and visa petitions for the member companies of the JCCI. Moreover, the center is set to provide express delivery to members within 24 hours. Husni Kutub, services GM, Western Province, SNAS/DHL, said: “The passport office has appointed its officers to work on this project and finalize the transactions received from the Express Centre which is affiliated to the JCCI. Services will also include issuance and renewal of work permits, sponsorship and data transfers, exit-and-reentry permits as well as dependents’ registration. Furthermore, this project is set to succeed due to the continuous support of the passport office.” JCCI has assured the agreement will be accordingly implemented upon its launch, based on cooperation with Jeddah Passport Office, as they possess previous expertise through launching this service in 2000. “JCCI granted its approval after assuring that the express logistics service provider, SNAS-DHL, own all the required resources to guarantee and secure collection, packaging, delivery and tracking,” a senior JCCI executive said.
