Every year on Aug. 6 the Japanese pay homage to the hundreds of thousands of the victims of the American atom bomb attacks 61 years ago. The Jewish scientists of the United States first tested the efficacy of their weapons with infinitesimal killer potential on the people in the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

It was on the sixth day of August in 1945 that a B29 Super Fortress bomber jet dropped the new weapon of massive destruction (atomic bomb) on the civilians in Hiroshima with uncanny precision.

In this act of nearly unparalleled cruelty in the history of mankind, 78,150 men, women and children were dead, 37,425 men sustained critical injuries and 13,000 people went missing. Countless people died of diseases consequent to radioactivity. The second bombing followed three days later in the Nagasaki Harbor on Aug. 9 instantly killing 73,000 besides wounding and mutilating more than 77,000.

This shows how the Americans massacre civilians with impunity. This was, by no means, the greatest massacre in the American history.

The forefathers of the present Americans had exterminated six million Red Indians, the original inhabitants of North America, invariably the cruelest act of massacre in the history of modern man.

The difference between the war crimes of the US and that of the Israel is largely in the number of victims. The Israelis outsmart the US in their cruelty and ferociousness while attacking the unarmed civilians in Palestine.

While the Americans defeated Japan with brutal force, the Israelis strive to win their war over Palestinians with no less brutality though the Palestinians are virtually unarmed.

The Jewish militias used to launch attacks on civilian positions in Palestine ever since they started to implement the Zionist program to occupy the Arab country.

The first huge massacre orchestrated by the Jews took place at the Al-Sheikh village where they killed 600 civilians in cold blood on Dec. 31,1947. This was a green signal to the Jewish zealots to go on with their killing spree. They killed all the people in Saeie village in Hebron detonating 20 houses on Feb. 14 and 15, 1948, followed by Deir Yassin where 360 Palestinian women and old men were killed on April 10, 1948. In Abu Shoushah 50 Palestinians were killed on May 14, 1948. The next was in Al-Lad where 426 people were butchered on July 11, 1948. The precise number of the victims of the Aylaboun massacre on Oct. 30 1948 is not known. All the youths of the two villages, Al-Baanah and Dier Al-Asad, were shot down on Oct. 30, 1948 followed by the Tantourah massacre in 1948 in which 200 people were killed. The Qabiah massacre on Oct. 14, 1953 recorded the death of 67 people. There were 70 victims in the Qalqiliya massacre on Oct. 10, 1956 followed by Khan Yunus twin massacres on Nov. 3 and 12, 1956 with 525 Palestinians killed. The Rafah Refugee camp massacre on Nov. 12, 1956 left 100 people dead while the Sabra and Shatilla massacres on Sept. 18, 1982 topped them all with 3,500 deaths. In the Qana massacre on Apr. 18, 1996, 160 were killed.

There were a number of other massacres committed by the extremist Jewish settlers such as the shooting spree by Goldenstein at the Ibrahimi Mosque in Jericho in 1994 killing and wounding 50 people. The occupation army killed 450 people in Jenin in 2002.

Under the pretext of fighting terror the Jewish armed forces are currently reducing Lebanese cities and villages to rubble with the connivance and support of the US, the leader of international terror against civilians.

Why this striking similarity between the US and Israel in attacking the undefended civilians? While posing this question, some news reports caught my attention. The first was an old report about the American pilot who dropped the atomic bomb in Hiroshima. Asked what he would do if he were asked to drop another atomic bomb on civilians, his reply was that he would not hesitate a moment to obey the order.

The second report was Ehud Olmert’s reaction to the Western charges of Israel’s massacres in Lebanon. He defended the Lebanese massacres by citing the Kosovo massacres by the West. Israel’s Defense Minister Amir Peretz said his country would not succumb to any outside pressure including that of the Security Council to stop the Lebanese war. The war will stop only at the will of Israel and in the interest of Israel, he said. These two reports point to the shared mindset of the inhuman American military and the barbarity of the Israeli people. No wonder. After all both the US and Israel were founded in an identical manner — exterminating or evicting millions of local residents.
