RIYADH, 17 April 2006 — The Shoura Council chaired by Sheikh Saleh Bin-Humaid, the council's president, yesterday approved the recommendations of the new fees for the issue or renewal of residence permit for expatriate workers.
According to the recommendation it will be SR100 for the issue and renewal of the resident permit and SR50 for the issue or renewal of the work permit, Saleh ibn Abdullah Al-Malik, secretary general of the council, said in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency.
The council's decisions also included penal action against non-Saudis who violate the regulations for the ownership of real estate and investment.
