DAMMAM, 25 April 2006 — The community’s role in contributing toward further strengthening India’s bilateral ties with Saudi Arabia was emphasized by Indian Ambassador M.O.H. Farook here recently. Speaking at the inauguration of the new campus for the Boys Section of International Indian School-Dammam (IISD), the envoy referred to the visit of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah to India in December and described it as a turning point in the bilateral relations. “You all should consider the Kingdom as your second home, thus reciprocating what the king said in New Delhi on Dec. 26,” Farook told the community.
In the field of education, the Kingdom and India are embarking on a new era of cooperation involving exchange of university students, quotas for Saudi students in Indian universities, and facilities for higher education for Indian students in the Kingdom, he added.
