RIYADH, 3 May 2006 — A father spotted his son in a public market and cried “thief!,” which brought to his aid several bystanders who quickly apprehended the suspect, Al-Watan daily reported yesterday. The father, who accused his son of stealing money and running away about a year ago, handed over the young lad to police. Contrary to what bystanders initially thought — that the family dispute would be resolved without intervention by authorities — the father is pursuing criminal charges against his son for the robbery.
