KUWAIT CITY, 10 May 2006 — Foreign residents of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states can now visit Kuwait without a visa, according to a decision issued yesterday by the Interior Ministry. The decision applies to foreigners who hold resident permits in GCC states, Maj. Gen. Thabet Al-Muhanna, the ministry's assistant undersecretary said in a statement quoted by the KUNA news agency. About 12 million foreigners, mostly Asians and Arabs, live and work in the GCC. They will be granted visas at the point of entry, Muhanna said.
