RIYADH, 15 May 2006 - Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), donated $1 million through the United Nations World Food Program (UNWFP) to the drought-ravaged people of Kenya. This generous gesture came in response to a request from Dr. Yusuf A. Nzibo, ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Nzibo's request came during a meeting with the prince in his office in Riyadh. The meeting was also attended by Kenyan immigration attache, Peter S. W. Ndollah, KHC's Ahmad ibn Fahad Altobaishi, assistant executive to Prince Alwaleed and Ms. Lameis Al-Mouhandis and Ms. Roaa Sharaf from KHC's Protocol Department.
