JEDDAH, 16 May 2006 — The PR firm Adeem Global Group is starting a campaign entitled “Thank You... Abu Miteb” to express appreciation to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah for the decisions he has made in the interests of citizens and residents in the country.
King Abdullah is also known as Abu Miteb (Father of Miteb).
The one-month nationwide campaign will kick off on Saturday.
“We expect to receive more than five million signatures,” said the campaign’s organizer Abdul Rahman Al-Muttawae. “After collecting these letters, they will be sent to King Abdullah.”
Special areas for the campaign will be set up in malls, such as Basateen and Serafi Mega Mall. Adeem has also made an agreement with schools to collect signatures from students. People interested in showing their gratitude to the king will be able to sign a petition.
Adeem’s campaign comes in the light of the king’s recent popular decisions, including a 15-percent pay hike for public employees, the King Abdullah Economic City, which is creating jobs, and a 30-percent cut at the fuel pump.
There will also be a special campaign website — www.shokran.info.
“It may be more convenient for people to sign on the Internet if they cannot go to shopping malls,” explained Al-Muttawae.
