Since May 8, a delegation from Friends of Saudi Arabia has been traveling throughout Saudi Arabia meeting with supporters. The group includes Dr. Michael Saba, executive director of Friends of Saudi Arabia (FSA), Delano Roosevelt and his wife Janice, and Dean Bonham.
Roosevelt is the grandson of the former US President Franklin D. Roosevelt and head of the Roosevelt Foundation. He serves as an adviser to FSA. Bonham, a past president of the Denver Nuggets NBA franchise, is using his extensive experience in the business of sports to assist FSA in developing sports exchanges in the Kingdom.
FSA is also planning to produce a documentary showing the experiences of an American businesswoman in the Kingdom.
FSA (www.fsaus.org) is a nonprofit entity dedicated to establishing goodwill and friendship between the people of Saudi Arabia and people of other countries and cultures. The concept of FSA was initiated in 2003 by Prince Abdul Aziz ibn Abdullah, currently adviser to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah, together with other prominent Saudi men and women who share a desire to bolster the decades old friendship existing between Saudi Arabia and many Western countries.
Earlier this year, Crown Prince Sultan met with FSA and donated $1 million to support their activities.
