RIYADH, 22 May 2006 - Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company, received at his office, Charles Henri d'Argon, French Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
The meeting was also attended by a team from KHC, Ahmad F. ltobaishi, assistant executive to the chairman, and Ms. Lameis Al-Mouhandis, Ms. Roaa Sharaf and Ms. Budour Almagrabi from the Protocol Department.
Alwaleed and the French Ambassador discussed a number of issues, mainly the Legion of Honor Medal that was bestowed upon Prince Alwaleed by President Jacques Chirac in Paris in February of this year.
The medal which is the highest civilian honor in France acknowledged Prince Alwaleed's role in strengthening Saudi-French bilateral relations on the social and economic front, and his role in bridging the social gap between East and West.
In return, Prince Alwaleed referred to the honoring that he received and said he was proud to receive this prestigious recognition and with appreciation to President Chirac.
