JEDDAH, 23 May 2006 — Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia retired Adm. Shahid Karimullah opened the newly constructed educational block, “Baab-ul-Elm” at the Pakistan International School (English Section) here on Sunday.

The ambassador was briefed on the working of the school, educational system and teaching techniques. He was also informed about the recent visit of a Cambridge University and British Council team that expressed satisfaction over the academic standard and the facilities provided by the school. The school is a registered center of the British Council.

The ambassador later unveiled the plaque to mark the opening of the new block. He was shown sports facilities, science laboratories, library and the nursery section.

The ambassador was presented with a souvenir to mark the occasion.
