RIYADH, 25 May 2006 — The International Indian School, Riyadh (IISR) has recorded a 95.6 pass percentage at the Grade 12 examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education held in March this year. According to IISR Principal Manzar Jamal Siddiqui, 329 out of 344 students passed with 244 of them obtaining first class and distinction. In the science group, Asiya Ahmed Ali topped with 92.2 percent, while Atia Begum and Nimrah Javed Ahmed got 89.8 and 88.4 percent, respectively. The toppers in the commerce group include Zainub Ashfaq 91.8 percent, Shaker Ahmed 90.4 percent and G.H. Ambreen 90.2 percent.
In the commerce group, Shakir Ahmed and G.H. Ambreen got 98 marks in business studies. Mohammed Suhail Akhtar topped English list with 91 marks, Sneha Jacob and Tina Mary Titus got 98 in phsysics, Rania Joseph and Tawfiq Abdullah got 84 in computer science and Sana Shakeel, Nesneem Shamshuddin and Maria Aziz Khan got 97 in fine arts. Zainub Ashfaq, Shakir Ahmed, Azra Zubaida, Hashifa Mohammed and Akriti Suri obtained 95 marks in economics, while Nimrah Javed Ahmed Khan and Ismail Hussain got 96 marks in mathematics.
