JEDDAH, 29 May 2006 — A power blackout placed a dark damper on 11 simultaneous wedding ceremonies occurring in as many wedding halls, Okaz daily reported yesterday. Some complained to the manargements of the halls while other groups rolled with the punches in a positive manner by continuing the celebrations by candlelight. (Perhaps the difference in the reactions to the blackout might illustrate the long-term successes of the respective marriages.)
