ALKHOBAR, 30 May 2006 — A budding romance between an Asian worker and a maid was cut short by the maid’s sponsor, Al-Watan daily reported yesterday. The sponsor noticed a strange man talking to his maid inside his house at night so he called the police. When the cops arrived the maid was threatening her sponsor with a knife for messing up her date. Police arrested the woman. While the arrest was being conducted the worker’s phone rang. Police answered it. It was the worker’s sponsor. Police arrested the worker after the sponsor accused him of stealing SR35,000. Both lovers are facing charges.
