JEDDAH, 2 June 2006 — Egyptian actor Sameera Ahmad started on Tuesday the indoor shooting of the serial Daawah Al-Farah (Medicine for Happiness) with Ezzat Al-Alayli as hero and costarred by Raja Al-Jaddawi, Tareq Lutfi, Tawfiq Abdul Hameed, Hanan Muatwae, Iman Al-Aasi and Sameera Mohsin at Cinema City Studios. The outdoor shootings have already been completed. Scripted by Ahmad Abdul Fatah and produced by Safwat Ghattas, Ahmad Abdul Hamid directed the serial. The story revolves around the wife of a famous diplomat, Farah, who is concerned about the social issues that surround her and sets out to resolve them in her style. Ezzat takes the role of the diplomat.
Referring to her future works, Sameera Ahmad said she would have the lead role in “Ahdi Ya Mama” (Calm Down Mother), a comedy serial, shooting of which will commence by the end of the year. It is the story of a woman who cannot cope with the contemporary lifestyles that do not agree with her temperament and becomes a victim of severe depression, Al-Watan daily reported.
