BEIRUT, 6 June 2006 — Singer Rami Ayash plans to film a music video for the popular duet he recently performed with Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi. Ayash and Haifa performed “Balghi Kul Mawa’eedi” (I will Cancel all my Plans) together during an episode of the program ‘Star Academy 3’.
Ayash says he is going to request Haifa to choose conservative outfits rather than her usual provocative style. He added that he has an image to maintain across the Arab world and is praying that Haifa will not embarrass him.
Recently the Lebanese singers Assi Hilani, Rami and Grace Deeb performed together in Tunisia for an event sponsored by the electronics company LG. In spite of the fact that the crowd responded in a massive way to Rami’s performance he was still accused of stealing the spotlight from Grace and Assi. All of the four singers sang in a unique style.
Rami announced that he has received 15 different offers to star in musical films, making him the movie industry’s ‘most wanted Lebanese singer’. Rami revealed that he would consider accepting a role in a film if it would boost his career. The singer did not clarify whether the 15 scripts were offered recently or since the start of his career.
