RIYADH, 6 October 2006 — Pizza Inn, which announced its plan to open Pizza Inn outlets for the first time in the Western Province of the Kingdom here Wednesday night, is currently running a major Ramadan promotion. “Under this promotion, Pizza Inn is offering a large pizza for SR10 only, when a customer buys two medium pizzas and pepsi,” said Khushru Mistry, Pizza Inn’s general manager, while unveiling its expansion plan.
At the very outset, Mistry spelt out the features of this major Ramadan promotion, saying that “every customer visiting the Pizza Inn outlet and buying the Ramadan promotion package will also be given a free eight-piece dinner set.” Not only this, Pizza Inn, in a renewed effort to offer customers regular value-based meals, is also offering its diners special iftar and sahour buffet at all dine-in outlets in the Kingdom.
Asked about the expansion plan, Mistry said that a number additional Pizza Inn outlets are being opened as per schedule in the Kingdom. “We are also looking to finalize franchisees for the Western region as soon as possible,” said Mistry adding that Pizza Inn had won two major contracts in the region including Prince Sultan Ibn Abdulaziz Science & Technology Center, the first-state-of-the-art center housing a public science museum, a planetarium and IMAX Theater in Alkhobar.
“The company has a signed second contract with Saudi Aramco with Pizza Inn being the only approved pizza supplier on four of the company compounds providing housing and all facilities for employees and families,” said Mistry adding that “we are also excited to be a supplier at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar where we will be present in the media center and the Global Village and where athletes will be housed for the competitions.
He said that Pizza Inn would be at hand to cater to one and all at the Asian Games in Doha, to be held from Dec. 1 to 15 this year. To this end, Rajendra Shah, head of maketing, said that our long-term strategy is to make exclusive offers through tie-ups with the banks and institutions. “Future tie-ups include the support extended by Pizza Inn to Auto Cross Car Race in Al Thumamah region,” said Shah. The event, he said, is being sponsored and organized by Supreme Commission of Tourism.
Another company Al-Muzaini Trading Services is the co-organizer of the event. This car race will allow the youth of Saudi Arabia to explore their Driving skills during the Eid celebrations. “Furthermore we are emphasizing Pizza Inn brand strengths in all communication viz. Pizza Inn uses only Fresh dough daily, 100 percent mozzarella cheese and a special blend of home-made sauces, to clearly highlight differences to the discerning consumer,” Pizza Inn marketing chief Shah.
He pointed out that United Food Company, a division of A. Abunayyan Group and Master Licensee for Saudi Arabia and Qatar locations, has appointed Promoaction DDB to handle its local and regional communications.
