ABU DHABI, 21 February 2007 — Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Co. (Takreer) has awarded a AED1 billion contract to Dodsal Pte for Ruwais Slphur Handling Expansion Phase III project.
Takreer awarded the project to Dodsal as an EPC contract on lump sum turnkey basis, taking Dodsal’s order book to nearly AED10 billion with an additional AED8 billion of orders expected in the near future.
The contract was signed by Takreer General Manager Jasem Ali Al-Sayegh and Dodsal Group Chairman and President Rajen Kilachand.
Dodsal said the project is scheduled to be completed in 33 months, by fourth quarter of 2009, with the aim of increasing the storage and processing capacity to handle the additional liquid sulphur that will be received from various Adnoc Group companies. The project includes increase in the sulphur storage capacity, granulation capacity, associated material management and marine structures for berthing, mooring and ship loading.
