SAKAKA, 27 February 2007 — The general education administration in the Al-Jouf region is holding a two-day conference for girls’ education officials in the Kingdom at Prince Abdul Ilah Culture Center here today and tomorrow. Princess Sarah bint Abdullah, wife of the governor of Al-Jouf, will attend the conference which will discuss the relevance of collective efforts in improving the level of women’s education in the Kingdom.
Another major topic of discussion is the difficulties faced by women workers in the field of education. The participants will discuss various aspects of the unification of the authority of the educational administrations in both the private and public sectors. The meeting will explore effective ways to facilitate the exchange of expertise between the administrations in different regions to enhance professional skills.
While five work sessions are being held on the first day of the conference, four workshops will be held on the second day.
The Al-Jouf governorate has arranged an exhibition highlighting the heritage and history of the region on the sidelines of the conference. Turki Al-Ghali, director general of education in Al-Jouf, has set up a committee under Basma bint Mahmood Al-Madani to organize the conference.
The princess has arranged a dinner for the participants in the seminar.
