JEDDAH, 2 March 2007 — Princess Adilah bint Abdullah will host a forum sponsored by the Khadija bint Khuwailid Center for Businesswomen of Jeddah Chamber of Commerce & Industry (JCCI) on March 19-20 at the Jeddah Hilton Hotel. The forum, titled “The Reality of Women’s Participation in National Development” will focus on Muslim women in business.

The event will highlight role models for Saudi women business executives and entrepreneurs. Princess Adilah, daughter of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abduallah, said that she is proud of the achievements made by Saudi women to date.

The goal of the forum is to get feedback from some 1,000 expected participants in developing future projects to assist Saudi women in business. Lama Al-Sulaiman, chairwoman of the center and board member of the JCCI, said in a press conference Wednesday that the JCCI center for women in business aims at offering projects that will empower women economically and socially.

“We are waiting for the forum’s recommendations to add them to the business plan for next year,” Nashwa Taher, JCCI board member, said.
