DUBAI, 4 March 2007 — A total of 2,222 buildings were completed in 2006 at a cost of AED11.160 billion, of which 381 were investment buildings, 1,432 residential buildings, and 409 buildings were meant for recreational, service and industrial purposes, Statistics Center of Dubai said in its latest annual bulletin titled “Dubai in Figures.” There are 306 hotels that consist of 31,580 rooms and have recorded a total of 5,440,467 guests. Land deals worth AED65.114 billion were carried out in Dubai during the period under review.
