ABU DHABI, 8 April 2007 — Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Hamdan ibn Zayed Al-Nahayan has reaffirmed the UAE’s support for Iraq and its people and stressed the need for unity and stability in the US occupied country to enable the Iraqi people to live a free and dignified life. Sheikh Hamdan made the statement while receiving former Iraqi Prime Minister and Chairman of the Iraqi National List Dr. Iyad Allawi, who is currently on a visit to the Emirates. He also affirmed the UAE’s belief for the need to achieve real national reconciliation that would ensure the participation of all Iraqis in public life so that the country could, once again, take its proper place making a generous contribution to the region’s stability.

RAK Sees Alliance With US School

RAS AL-KHAIMAH, 8 April 2007 — The Ras Al-Khaimah Education Company (EDRAK) and members of the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University held their first board of directors meeting in Boston, US. The board was constituted following a bilateral agreement signed between EDRAK and the Friedman School for the US school to establish a presence in Ras Al-Khaimah.
