RIYADH, 9 April 2007 — AlJawal has offered a free credit of SR100 and 100 MMS for its prepaid cards (Sawa) subscribers, Saudi Telecom Company (STC) announced here yesterday.

The new offer, valid until May 31, gives Sawa subscribers a free SR100 added to their balance when they recharge their cards with SR300. Subscribers may use the added value for making national or international calls or for using any Sawa service without limits or restrictions. Furthermore, subscribers will get 100 free MMS within AlJawal network.

“This unique new offer allows subscribers to get extra value for all other recharge cards of lesser denominations of SR10, 20, 50 and 100 and it would continue till May 31,” Kosay Al-Fawaz, manager for corporate communications, said . “The new offer comes as part of the several offers and discounts introduced by STC periodically to fulfill customer requirements.

STC has also introduced a new electronic service to pay the STC bills using credit cards. “The subscribers can also obtain a copy of the first page of the STC bill online and pay it in the following banks: Al-Jazirah, Saudi Hollandi (SHB), SAMBA, Al-Rajhi, Saudi Fransi, National Commercial Bank (NCB) and Arab National Bank (ANB).

Last week, AlJawal introduced “Explore AlJawal 3GN services”, an offer free of charge, which enables customers to try the applications and services made available by 3GN high speed technology in mobile networks. Under this new program, customers will get one hour of free video call and one hour for watching TV channels available through AlJawal TV service as well as 10 MB to surf the internet with up to 1.8 MB speed. The free service will be valid for a period of one month.

AlJawal customers can upgrade their service to 3.5G by exchanging their SIM card with a 3.5G SIM card while maintaining their original features and services. The 3.5G services will only work in areas covered by the 3.5G network, and should any customer travel to places outside the 3.5G network, they will still be able to use the rest of the services.
