JEDDAH, 15 January 2008 — Top HP Middle East executives said yesterday that the company had embarked on a course to expand its market presence in Saudi Arabia, with the launch of its new products.
The company introduced seven new commercial products including notebooks, iPAQs, desktops, workstations and thin clients at a road show held at the Jeddah Hilton. A large number of company executives, business partners and IT experts were present.
Speaking to Arab News, Khaled Hejazi, country manager of the personal systems group of HP Middle East, said the new products would further strengthen the company’s presence in this part of the world. “The road show aims at focusing on our innovative products that we continue to launch not only in the Kingdom but throughout the Middle East,” said Hejazi. The company’s executive team included Ammar Al-Hajj Issa, channel marketing manager, Vishnu Taimni, channel sales manager, and Louay Helaby, commercial product manager.
Hejazi said that the demand for personal computers has dropped as against notebooks that are more in demand now. “Our sales figures reflect this fact,” Hejazi added.
The team gave details of the company’s new products.
