DAMMAM, 19 January 2008 — A large number of Indian expatriates in the Eastern Province visited the first Indian property show, which was held at Carlton Al-Moaibed Hotel in Alkhobar recently, organizers said.
They said deals worth more than 50 million rupees were signed between developers and investors during the show named Homes of India. The developers have expressed their desire to hold similar exhibitions in other parts of the Kingdom. Mumtaz Ali, chairman of International Indian School, Dammam (IISD), inaugurated the two-day show in Alkhobar in the presence of E.K. Mohammad Shafe, IISD principal, Jagannathan, manager of Rezayat Trading Co., Srikumar, country manager of HDFC, Michael Wasanth, CEO of StudioLine, and other officials.
More than 20 builders from various parts of India participated.
