DUBAI, 19 January 2008 — A leading Saudi company entered into an agreement with a Chinese company here Thursday to design construct and maintain state-of-the art iconic buildings in the Kingdom.
Mohammed Al-Shoail, president of the Absal Group, and James Law, chairman of James Law Cybertecture International, a global consultancy specializing in the design and strategy formation of Cybertecture Projects, signed the accord for future iconic projects using cybertecture technology in the Kingdom. Also present were Saad Mahmod, director contracts and development Absal Group and Feisal Noor, director of James law Cybertecture.
“In a strategic partnership with our world-renowned Chinese partners, we will enter into a new field in the Kingdom to build state-of-the art highrise buildings,” Al-Shoail told Arab News following the signing ceremony. He pointed out that with the emerging six economic cities, there is plenty of scope for such buildings in the Kingdom. Absal, which counts more than 25 years experience in the Kingdom, has been a multi-purpose company involved in real estate, construction, steel, leather production and contracting works.
“We are thrilled to enter this joint venture which would bring a new technology and experience to the Kingdom with the Chinese firm,” Al-Shoail stressed.
“Although my company has been in the United Arab Emirates for some time, entering the Saudi market to introduce the new technology will be an important step in the annals of our company,” James Law said, adding that the Kingdom is an important country in the region where infrastructure developments are taking place at a rapid speed.
“We are happy that we will be partners in the nation building of this great country,” Cybertecture incorporates the latest technology into every facet of daily life through visionary design.
