JEDDAH — Due to the heavy demand on the Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Group at Riyadh’s King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center (KFSHRC), a second branch was inaugurated in Jeddah this month.
“What we do in these groups is to guide parents who need consultation for their children to the best doctors depending on their case in addition to giving them basic advice on dealing with their children,” said Dr. Suad Al-Yamani, consultant in pediatric neurology and director of the ADHD in Riyadh.
She explained that people in Jeddah are very open-minded and have shown great interest in helping their children. All they need is support and guidance.
Amal Al-Yamani, who has specialized in neuro linguistics, now heads the Jeddah group.
“Before we used to depend on personal efforts but thank God this year we received donations from Prince Saud ibn Fahd, Khaled ibn Ibrahim and Al-Anoud Charity Organization that enabled us to open the Jeddah branch,” said Amal.
“But of course we wish for more support to be able to offer all the help needed by these children in our clinics,” she added.
