KOZHIKODE, India, 23 March 2008 — Jamia Markazu Saquafathi Sunniyya, a prominent Islamic institution in India, is to host an international meeting in Kozhikode on March 28. Islamic scholars from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Syria, Yemen, Morocco and the United Arab Emirates will participate in the meet. Organizers expect some 300,000 people to attend the meeting in “Swapna Nagari.” An announcement of the Jamia’s affiliation to Cairo’s Al Azhar University will be made at the meeting. During the meeting, a seminar will be held on the “Relevance of the Prophet’s Teaching in Modern World.” Renowned Muslim and non-Muslim personalities from various parts of the world will attend the seminar.
