MAKKAH, 16 April 2008 — Adnan Mabrouk lent his car to his friend in need, but the friend then thanked him by selling the car to his father who in turn sold it to another person, the Okaz daily reported. Mabrouk said that it was like a punch in the face from his friend. “I didn’t only lose the car, but I also lost my friend,” he said. His friend had lost all his money in the stock market so Mabrouk decided to lend him his car. After six months his friend began to hide from him and ignore his calls. When he asked about the car, he learned it had been sold to another man. Officials told Mabrouk that the car would be impounded and the case taken to court.
