JEDDAH, 28 May 2008 — Saudi Arabian Airlines yesterday launched a two-month-long awareness campaign entitled “Yes, We Care” for its cabin crew. The campaign aims at improving in-flight services to passengers in line with the airline’s international reputation. The campaign consists of special training programs for members of the cabin crew to keep them abreast of the latest developments in in-flight services, an official statement issued by the airline said.

“The best cabin crew will be given awards for their outstanding performance in order to encourage their colleagues to follow their example,” the statement said.

The campaign is organized with the support of Khaled Al-Mulhim, director general of the airline, who has agreed to change the cabin crew’s uniform, matching the airline’s important position in the airline industry. “The safety of passengers will be the main focus of the campaign,” the statement said, adding that cabin crew would be trained to ensure the safety of passengers and to provide them with first-aid services.

The campaign augurs well for the fundamental changes being carried out by Saudia in its services and with the airline’s strategy that seeks to modernize its fleet and infrastructure, developing manpower and completing its privatization program.
