JEDDAH, 29 May 2008 — The Consulate General of India is organizing its annual mushaira at the International Indian School-Jeddah (Boys Section) auditorium at 8.30 p.m. on June 5. Those interested may send their names and valid iqama numbers (along with contact telephone numbers) today to the consulate on fax: 6505019 or e-mail at [email protected]. The cards will be issued on first-come-first-served basis and the list of invitees can be seen on the consulate website (www.cgijeddah.com) on May 31. Invitation passes can be collected on June 1 and June 2 between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. from the consulate. Arrangements will also be made to screen the mushaira live at the open ground outside the auditorium and separate passes will be issued for this area for those who cannot be accommodated in the auditorium.

Exam Rescheduled

JEDDAH, 29 May 2008 — The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Islamabad, has announced changes in the schedule of Class 11th and 12th examinations. According to the revised schedule, the first paper in the first shift will be held on June 2 at 6 a.m. In the second shift, exam will begin at 11 a.m.

Free Medical Camp

JEDDAH, 29 May 2008 — The Pakistan Welfare Society will hold a free medical camp at the premises of the Consulate General of Pakistan tomorrow. The registration of patients will begin at 4 p.m. Free medical checkup will be carried out by doctors between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., and deserving patients will be given medicines free of cost. Gynecologists and pediatricians will also attend patients.

SIBN Annual Meeting

JEDDAH, 29 May 2008 — Saudi-Indian Business Network (SIBN), in cooperation with the Consulate General of India, Jeddah, will hold its annual function with a farewell reception for Indian Consul General Dr. Ausaf Sayeed at 7.30 p.m. at InterContinental Hotel on May 31. Indian Ambassador M.O.H. Farook will be the chief guest. SIBN President Amr Hassan Enany will preside over the event. There will be a presentation on “SEDCO’s participation in the growth story of India” by Khalid A. Gama, director, Financial Investments Group, and another by Dr. Adil Bushnak, chairman, Bushnak Group.
