JEDDAH, 7 June 2008 — Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari will formally open “Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Memorial Auditorium,” at Pakistan International School Jeddah (English Section) here tomorrow afternoon. Pakistani Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani will also attend the ceremony. The school has named its new state-of-the-art auditorium after former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. A proposal to name the auditorium after Bhutto was moved by the PISJ (ES) director of finance and administration, Saher Kamran, with Principal Syed Esar Hussain Shah’s permission during PPP Secretary-General Muhammad Jehangir Bader’s recent visit to the school. The teachers and staff of the school unanimously adopted the proposal.
“We feel proud to dedicate our auditorium to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto. It will give us strength to serve the cause of education and carry forward the mission of our great leader,” Saher said.
