JEDDAH: The Edufest organized by Malarvadi Balasangam at Al-Mudhila auditorium in Jeddah was a big success as a large number of students and parents attended the event.
Separate educational contests were held for kiddies, sub-juniors and juniors and the children took part in the competitions with tremendous enthusiasm drawing applause from parents and organizers.
Jamal Muhiyuddin Alwaye, supervisor of Balasangam who organized the fest, emphasized the organization's role in bringing up children with high moral qualities and enhancing their knowledge.
Abdul Shukoor Ali, program coordinator, said the Edufest was organized to increase the general knowledge of children and encourage them to learn more.
Nasfan Ashraf won the top place in the contests for kiddies while Rica Elizabeth and Faheem Hassan scored the highest points in the competitions held for sub-juniors and juniors respectively.
Representatives of institutions that sponsored the fest distributed prizes and certificates to the winners.
