I find something astonishing: Why do non-Muslims treat people with special needs with so much love and respect?
In non-Muslim countries, such people are given priority in queues and front seats are reserved for them. They are also given the right to enter first.
When they pass through a crowd, everyone happily makes way for them. They are also given priority when calling taxis. When they get on a train or a plane, they are again given special treatment. If they ask for food or drink, they are accorded the utmost care. When they enter buildings, they will find the passageways ideal for wheelchairs.
In non-Muslim countries, the young and the old alike give the disabled special treatment. This is not out of pity but out of respect for the priority they deserve.
It is a different story altogether in Muslim countries. Buildings are not suitable for wheelchairs. Adults, before children, surpass the disabled in queues, and at restaurants, playgrounds and government offices out of a common belief: This cripple will not impede us.
I pity people who have no consideration for the needs of the disabled. I believe that the feelings of such people have either died or are frozen. How can such a person with stupefied feelings live with himself and his children? Anyone who has no consideration for the special needs of the disabled, whether old or young, is a person with an empty heart and soul. They should seek treatment. A society that does not embrace the disabled with affection and respect is not worthy to live in.
