JEDDAH — The BMG Saudi Index reversed the negative trend it has witnessed so far this week and closed 0.3 percent higher at 462.09 points. The total turnover continued to decline, registering the lowest value since the beginning of the year, reaching SR1.3 billion ($356 million), down by 4.1 percent from SR1.4 billion ($371 million) which was registered in Monday’s trading session.

Three sectors gained more ground, while only the telecommunications sector depreciated by 1.1 percent. Fourteen shares appreciated, while eight went down and another eight witnessed no change. The best performer was Arriyadh Development Co., improving by 2.8 percent to SR18.50. Kingdom Holding Company moved from the best performer in Monday’s session to the worst performer in yesterday’s session, dropping by 2.9 percent to SR8.25.
