JEDDAH — The BMG Saudi Index continued its positive performance; rising by 0.8 percent in yesterday’s trading session, to reach a closing level of 444.04 points. The total turnover, however, fell by 10.4 percent, to reach SR1.6 billion ($424 million) versus SR1.7 billion ($473 million) registered in Monday’s trading session. Three sectors recorded gains, while two stood still and two depreciated. The agricultural sector was the best performer, rising by 1.9 percent, followed by the industrial sector, advancing by 1.3 percent. The banking sector rose by 0.6 percent. The electricity and the telecommunication sectors stood still, whereas the services sector depreciated by 0.7 percent.
