JEDDAH: Police in Jeddah found a four-year-old girl on the Corniche on Friday night. Police have still not been able to trace the parents of the girl, who is thought to be Saudi, or ask her questions due to her constant crying.
A police source said the girl has been handed into the care of the Social Affairs Department where she will remain until her parents claim her.
Burglary gang
Jeddah police arrested a gang of 10 burglars who had embarked on a campaign to rob shops and houses. The men, who were all foreign and in their 20s, split themselves into three groups and operated in the Kilo 3, Kilo 8, Al-Sham and Mazloum districts of the city.
A police source said the group was found in possession of a large amount of money. They also had equipment to break glass without making noise and were drunk at the time of their arrest.
The source said the youths, who had arrived in the Kingdom on Umrah visas, had been under surveillance for some time before their arrest.
