JEDDAH: Khawater 4 will hit MBC’s screens as Ramadan begins. Ahmed Shugairi has prepared the program, which is sponsored by Al Fozan Community Service, part of the Al Fozan Social Foundation, for the fourth consecutive season. The program will be broadcast on MBC from Ramadan 1, which viewers can watch before Maghreb.
“I’m very careful in presenting my ideas related to Islam and its values that are aimed to create awareness and encourage people to work hard on performing good deeds,” Shugairi said in a presentation here on Monday night. “I’m grateful to Allah for the success of Khawater over the past three years. Due to its popularity and loyal viewers, the delivery of wisdom through messages focuses on morals and good behavior, which are based on the values of Islam that always make life easier with all modern influences,” he said.
In the program, Shugairi will be the connecting and communicating link between the Muslim scholars, people of thought and the public, and of course with the youth. “It’s easier to communicate with the youth since I’m one of them,” he said. “To achieve the most desired success, I present them with ideas and thoughts that were closest to their concerns and thus create a strong generation that is capable of giving their best to serve the community,” Shugairi said.
To join the campaign, youth may go online to www.thakafa.net and choose their country, which will lead them to choose the act of benevolence, such as sponsoring an orphan, providing iftar during the fasting month, treating needy and sick people, etc. After making a choice, the participant will get linked to the closest available charity organization that provides this charitable service. The only step left will be for the participant to contact the desired charity organization.
The Book Trip campaign — also part of the program — is to boost awareness about the importance of reading. Anyone may pick a book, magazine or any print media that they may find at public venues including hospitals and hair saloons. After reading it, the person should place the campaign sticker on it, sign it and write on it where it was originally found.
Abdullah Al Fawzan, CEO of Al Fozan Group, said the company was sponsoring Khawater for the fourth season due to its loyalty to corporate social responsibility.
