JEDDAH: The Supreme Haj Committee, which met here yesterday under the chairmanship of Interior Minister Prince Naif, discussed ways to further improve Haj services.
The meeting discussed flood control projects in the holy sites of Arafat and Mina as well as the need to establish security and service centers along the expressway between Makkah and Madinah, the Saudi Press Agency said.
Electronic services for foreign Haj pilgrims and experimental residential buildings on mountains at Mina were other topics that figured high at the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Prince Miteb, minister of municipal and rural affairs, Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Makkah governor, Prince Saud Al-Faisal, foreign minister, Prince Muhammad bin Naif, assistant interior minister for security affairs, and other ministers.
