JEDDAH: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) announced yesterday the implementation of the New Tick Size (New Price Change Unit) from tomorrow. This comes after completing all the testing successfully with the brokerage firms and the Data Vendors. The new bands as communicated earlier are as follows: 5 halalas for shares SR25 or Below, 10 halalas for shares between SR25.10 to SR50.00, and 25 halalas for SR50.25 and above. In pace with the increasing growth in the market’s number of transactions and listed companies, it has been approved to change the Tick Size, currently at 25 Hallalas. The new Tick Size will be measured based on the share price, at three new bands. This procedure will have no effect on the value of Tadawul’s all share index, sector indices, or the value of listed companies.
