KUWAIT: State-owned Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA), which manages the Gulf Arab state’s oil-generated assets, might support the local bourse which has been falling for weeks, a newspaper said on Thursday. KIA is in talks with several local funds about possible investments, Al-Qabas said in an unsourced report, adding that these investments could reach 20 percent of the funds’ total value. KIA officials could not immediately be reached for comment. The Kuwait bourse has fallen 9 percent in the past four weeks.
