DARUSSALAM has earned the distinction of publishing Islamic literature in about 20 major languages of the world, which include the translation and interpretation of the Qur’an, books on Sahih Hadith and other Islamic books.
“Our books and CDs contain authentic text and research material in the light of the Qur’an and Sunnah, that is why we have been appreciated and trusted worldwide.We have a team of senior scholars and editors who take utmost care on the materials before it goes for printing. This is the reason Darussalam has become the symbol of authenticity in Islamic literature,” said Abdul Malik Mujahid, general manager of Darussalam Publishers and Distributors, Riyadh.
Its most recent project in the series of Islamic literature is the translation of Six Sahih Hadith books in English, which is known in Arabic as Saha Sitta.
This set is composed of Sahih Al-Bukhari in nine volumes totaling 4,280 pages, Sahih Muslim in seven volumes totaling 3,758 pages, Sunan Abu Dawud in five volumes totaling 2,650 pages, Sunan An-Nasaai in six volumes, each volume containing more than 530 pages, and Sunan Ibn Maajah in five volumes totaling 2,678 pages.
Darussalam has earned the honor to publish the Saha Sitta in English for the first time. “This project took almost five years of our efforts. Now, these books are also in the process of translation in Urdu, which will conclude this year,” he said.
Translation of Atlas
Darussalam’s other books published include the translation of Atlas Al-Qur’an and Atlas Al-Seerah in Urdu and English, which include old and new maps of all the places mentioned in the Qur’an and Seerah books.
Its ‘Atlas of Islamic Victories’ contains all the maps of Islamic wars and battles.
With its headquarters in Riyadh and branches and agents in major cities of the world, Darussalam is known for its innovative and modern publishing techniques of books, which are especially meant for men, women, children and youth of all ages.
Since its inception, Darussalam is engaged in producing books on Islam in languages including Arabic, Persian, Turkish, Bahasa Indonesia and Russian. So far, it has published around 1,000 Islamic titles in 20 different languages.
Darussalam has published the interpretation of the meanings of the Qur’an in English, Urdu, Hindi, Spanish, French, Malayalam, Albanian, Tagalog, Pushto and Bengali languages to impart and propel the sacred obligation of spreading the word of Allah, Mujahid said.
Darussalam has also prepared easy-to-learn books for children, which focus on the basics of Islam. It distinguishes in introducing innovative educational devices for learning the Qur’anic teachings through computer technology.
It has prepared books for all types of people. Recently, two series of books titled ‘Finding the Truth’ and “True Path’ have been launched with 10 books in each set in Urdu language.
It has obtained the copyrights of the Islamic Research Foundation, the organization of Islamic preacher Dr. Zakir Naik. It distributes the books and CDs of all of Dr. Zakir’s lectures.
