RIYADH: Prince Alwaleed bin Talal received Xavier Luc Duval, vice-prime minister of tourism of Mauritius, and an accompanying delegation at his office in Riyadh. The delegation included J.M. Smimonet, permanent secretary of the Ministry of Tourism in Mauritius, and Oomar Ramtoola, manager of Indian Ocean Islands-Emirates.

The meeting discussed a number of social and economic issues in addition to the current global economic situation and its effects on Mauritius and its plan to attract foreign investments. In this connection, Duval said his government welcomed the prince's investments.

During the meeting, the two touched upon the status of the tourism industry and its future outlook. The prince briefed Duval on the latest developments concerning the Four Seasons Hotel & Golf Resort and the Movenpick Hotel in Mauritius.

Duval invited the prince to visit Mauritius to explore possible investment opportunities. In return, HRH said that his relationship with Mauritius was strong, particularly through his investments and promised to visit the country in the near future.
