TAIF: Makkah Governor Prince Khaled Al-Faisal will lay down the foundation for 21 new health centers for primary health care in different locations in the region of Taif at a cost of SR73 million.

Director of Health Affairs in Taif Dr. Abdul Rahman ibn Abdullah Kirkman said the new projects represented the third batch of health centers in the region.

He said during his visit to the region, Prince Khaled will inspect a number of projects under implementation at the cost of more than SR1 billion including the 500-bed King Faisal hospital at a cost of more than SR330 million.

He said the Governor would also visit the maternity and child hospital that has 400 beds and built at a cost of SR114 million.

There are 11 general hospitals and 105 primary care health centers in the region of Taif.

Kirkman said a new SR350-million psychiatric hospital would be established in this summer resort city.
