RAMALLAH: Chief Palestinian negotiator Ahmed Qorei yesterday said that any peace negotiations with Israel will be “a waste of time” without a clearly defined goal based on international law and the Arab Peace Initiative.
Qorei said that “what is needed now is to address the international community, US administration, the Quartet and the UN to put a definite reference for the peace process to determine the exact terms of reference and definition of. Otherwise we will be caught in a vicious circle with the Israeli side.”
He added that the Palestinian Authority rejects the “economic peace” new Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu proposes. “Netanyahu wants us to eat and stay silent, and this will not happen.”
