Does His Excellency travel and how?

I would like to have answers to the following questions from the president of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) and his senior staff who work in the various departments of GACA and all the other decision-making sections (if there are any).

First, do he and his top officials travel abroad like other officials and citizens? If they travel, do they arrive at the magnificent airports such as Kuala Lumpur, Manchester, Dubai, Doha and Kwanzan in China? Do they see these airports with the same eyes with which we see them? After seeing them, do they feel the difference between our airports — which they have built and are running — and these airports that, in many cases, were built with fewer resources?

I doubt very much that the president of GACA has a phobia about flying and airports or that he resorts to traveling by boat or car.

Secondly, I would very much like to know the number of years he has spent as president of GACA. And also the number of years that his senior staff have worked in their present jobs. Were these years not sufficient to bring our international airports up to the desired level? Or were the years too few to enable him to do that? Were the years adequate for him to draw a picture of the lounge of a respectable airport prior to inviting price quotations, to sort them out and place the tender?

Another question is: Was the entire tenure of His Excellency in his position not enough to build an airport like the one in Jeddah that bears the name of the great founder of the Kingdom and gives to millions of people who arrive there each year their first impression of this fine country? Or has His Excellency been in this position for only a few months and so had had no time to do the things we expect him to do?

Was he in this position during the time of the great boom that lasted for five years and left no one, on the pretext of insufficient resources, with any excuse for not having built what should have been built?

Believe me when I say I do not know His Excellency. I did, however, see him inspecting the airport. I did not unfortunately read the papers the day he was appointed so I don’t know the exact date he took over the job.
