TAIF: Civil Defense teams rescued a 28-year-old paraplegic who lost his way in the desert north of Taif yesterday. Rescue teams launched a search operation after the man was reported missing from his house in Hawiah on Friday.
His broken-down car was located in Wadi Qarn about 11 kilometers from his home, a spokesman for Taif Civil Defense told Arab News.
The official added that this was the fifth missing person in the past two weeks. An elderly woman has been reported missing since last week. She has not been found in spite of Civil Defense officials searching 50 villages, ravines, mountain passes and 20 wells in the region.
